Restoration means repairing the damage done by time as well as eliminating technical defects and noise. We are in a position to get the very most out of a recording through the use of the latest technology and our many years of experience. Whether old 78s, optical sound track or analogue tapes that have been incorrectly stored and are no longer playable: we preserve and enhance these types of damaged or defective recordings for posterity, taking care that they retain their natural sound. With new recordings, too, such as location audio or live recordings, restoration can also be necessary. Extraneous noise from things like air conditioning systems or traffic as well as conversion errors are reduced to a minimum without changing the actual content.
